The two finalists from the ongoing tourney will advance to the 2022 World Group II Playoffs.
Kenyan players continued with their good showing at the Davis Cup Africa Group 3 tournament as they withstood tough competition from Mozambique to pick their second win in a 2-1 outcome at the Smash Sporting Club in Cairo, Egypt.
The win came at the back of victory in their tournament-opening match played on Wednesday 11 August 2021 in a 3-0 outcome against Rwanda.
In the Mozambique clash 20-year old Albert Njogu fell to Bruno Nhavene 7 (7)-6(5), 6-4 while Kenya's top seed Ismael Changawa picked a 6-1 win in the first set and 1-0 in the second set before his opponent Franco Mata retired.

Kenya outclassed Mozambique in the third set for a 6-2 win to head to the final group matches against Ghana scheduled for Friday 13 August 2021 leading pool B 5-1.
Ghana are at the bottom of the four-team group win less, after losing to Rwanda 0-3 on Thursday. Rwanda and Mozambique are second and third respectively.
